BOW Opens Bids For Krebs Trailhead Park

Warsaw is one step closer to having Krebs Trailhead Park constructed.
The city opened bids Friday for installing a restroom building with patio for the park.
Warsaw Board of Public Works and Safety board reviewed a $120,189.24 bid from Butt & Timmons Construction, Warsaw, that will be taken under advisement and reviewed at the March 1 board meeting.
Warsaw Board of Public Works and Safety approved at its Nov. 2 meeting the city seeking quotes for the creation of the park.
The park will be at the intersections of East Market and McKinley street.
Kosciusko County Convention Recreation and Visitor Commission has donated $20,000.
It will connect expanding recreational assets such as the greenway for bicyclists and pedestrians. The park will connect Winona’s Heritage Trail and Warsaw’s Chinworth Trail.
In other business, the board opened bids for installing a 48-inch brick storm line on West Market Street. It will be installed west of South Pine Street to the Center and Market intersections.
The board reviewed bids from Con Shield Technologies and Proform Pipe Lining that will be taken under advisement and reviewed at the next meeting.
The board approved an easement agreement between the city and MRW Properties for property at 119 W. Center St. for the installation of a community restroom for downtown events contingent on the city engineer providing dimensions.[[In-content Ad]]
