Borrowing

Editor, Times-Union:
The Bible says nations shall lend, but not borrow, instead, our nation forges ahead and borrows, borrows, borrows and accumulates its debt up to $20 trillion.
Besides the financial problems that never gets solved, we reject God (Jesus Christ), God’s Word and the Christian. What should we expect to happen? Someday we will have to pay the pauper ... default! Someday we will have a famine of God’s Word ... or, is it now?
First, our president and Europe puts sanctions on Russia – the Big Bear. The Bear grits its teeth and says this is hostile, expect a response. Instead of heeding the red lights, Congress gets involved and puts tougher sanctions on Russia, and the president is expected to sign it.
Whoa, where does all this stop? War with the Bear is inevitable. Let me repeat, the prophesied nuclear Magog war of Ezekiel is at hand. The “rubel” is in a freefall. The euro is gone. The dollar and the gas prices are deflating.
But, it is Christmas time. It is time for getting together with families.
Time to put all the bad news aside, and think about Jesus Christ, the Messiah. Time to remember that ... “it is better to give than receive.” After all, the real gift of all time and this Christmas is Jesus.
“Jesus is the reason for the season.”
