Boring 50th

Clarence and Jo Boring, Silver Lake, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Friday.
Clarence, son of Clarence and Myrtle Boring, Decatur, and the former Jo Martin, daughter of Gerald and Melzina Martin, Monroeville, were married Aug. 15, 1964, at the Church of the Nazarene, Monroeville, by the Rev. Jefferson O. Brock.
Clarence is the owner/operator of Country Welding, Silver Lake.
The couple are the parents of two daughters, Cindy Mollett, Akron, and Sandra, who died at the age of 11. They also have three granddaughters: Amber Prater, Dalhart, Texas; Ali Nelson, Claypool; and Gabreilla Enyart, Akron; three great-grandchildren: Hunter, Temperance and Lucy Prater, Dalhart.
For 24 years they have dedicated their lives to taking in troubled teens, whom they still call their kids. Three girls and over 85 boys have been a part of their lives, and the couple are thankful for each one.
An open house, hosted by Cindy and family members, will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the couple’s home, 11706 S. CR 600W, Silver Lake.
