Terri and Dillon Bord, Columbus, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsey Bord, Indianapolis, to Jacob Fitzsimmons, Indianapolis. He is the son of Debra and Gary Fitzsimmons, Warsaw.

The bride-to-be is a school counselor at Northeast Elementary School, Greenwood. She is a 2000 graduate of Columbus North High School, and earned a bachelor's degree in social work from Ball State University in 2004 and a master's degree in counseling and counselor education from Indiana University in 2007.

The groom-elect is a land surveyor at Projects Plus, Greenwood. He is a 2000 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and received a degree in design technology and architecture from Ivy Tech, Muncie, in 2006. He plans to graduate from Purdue University with a degree in land surveying in 2009.
