NORTH MANCHESTER - Bonita M. "Bonnie" Weimann, 101, of Timbercrest Senior Living Community, North Manchester, and formerly of Laketon, died at 8:25 p.m. July 1, 2008, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

She was born Feb. 22, 1907, in Gilman, Ill., to George "Frank" and Gertrude Keller Snyder. In June 1929, in Kentland, she married Walter W. "Red" Weimann, who died Dec. 9, 1954.

She was a 1925 Gilman (Ill.) Community High School graduate and was postmaster at Laketon Post Office for 23 years, retiring in 1976. Living in Laketon since 1933, she was a member of Laketon American Legion Auxiliary since 1953, and a member of North Manchester United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Patrick Powers officiating. Burial will be in Laketon Cemetery.

Calling is one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
