Lauren Marie Boles and Drew Randall Shafer were married Dec. 29, 2007, at North Star Civic Center, Huntington, wth Pastor Roy Wolfe Sr., of Jasper, Ala., officiating. The bride is the daughter of Rick and Brenda Boles, Columbia City; the groom's parents are Randall and Darla Shafer, Warsaw.

Maid of honor was Kayla Graft, Columbia City. Bridesmaids were Emily Brock and Karen Cull, both of Columbia City, and Abby Shafer, sister of the groom, Warsaw. Flower girl was Makenna Boles, niece of bride, Fort Wayne.

Best man was Deon Shafer, brother of the groom, Warsaw. Groomsmen were Evan Gady, cousin of groom, Bloomington; Josh Murphy, cousin of groom, Akron; and Ryan Gallup, Harvey, La. Ushers were Scott Boles, Tim Boles, Brooks Boles and Gabe Boles, all brothers of the bride, all of Columbia City. Ring bearer was Carson Boles, nephew of bride, of Fort Wayne.

A reception was held at North Star Civic Center.

The bride is employed at Medassist, Laporte. She is a 2004 graduate of Columbia City High School. She graduated from Indiana-Purdue University Fort Wayne in 2007 with a degree in elementary education.

The groom is is employed as a sales representative with DePuy Orthopaedics. He is a 2001 graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School, Akron. He graduated from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis with a bachelor's degree in business marketing management in 2005.

After a honeymoon to the island of St. Lucia, the couple reside in Valparaiso.[[In-content Ad]]
