PIERCETON – Bobby L. Brown, 66, of Pierceton, passed away at 3:30 a.m. May 16, 2013, in his daughter’s residence. He was born Sept. 27, 1946, in Martin, Ky., to Robert and Sally Ousley Brown. On June 8, 2008, he married JoAnne Rogers, who died March 7, 2010. Living most of his life in Pierceton, he worked for Whitley Products, Pierceton; Dalton Foundry, Warsaw; and then for IDP, North Webster, retiring in 2011. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving two tours in Vietnam and 11 years overall. Surviving are three sons, Lenny John (and spouse Kat) Moore and Robert “Buster” Brown, both of Tucson, Ariz., and Billy Joe (and spouse Sarah) Brown, Pierceton; five daughters: Dana (and spouse Todd) Riley, Niagara Falls, N.Y.; Minona “Sissy” (and spouse Phillip) Denton and Bobbie Jo Brown, all of South Whitley; Crystal (and spouse Robert) Shugars, Ellicott City, Md.; and April Browning, Mentone; a nephew, Billy Joe Reffitt Sr., Pierceton; one great-nephew, Billy Joe Reffitt Jr., Pierceton; a great-niece, Lorrie Meyers, Pierceton; and 16 grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Rubie Brown. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, with Pastor Mark Pratt officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton. Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. ***** Memorials may be made to the Bobby L.
