Milton and the former Doris Edith Harden were married Sept. 7, 1952, at Claypool United Brethren Church by the Rev. L. Kenneth Kraft, assisted by the Rev. Wayne Johnson.
The couple lived at the Whidbey Island Washington naval air station until Milt completed his four-year U.S. Navy enlistment. After returning to Claypool, they were co-owners of Bloom’s Store. Later Milt worked for Borden Milk Co. until becoming a bookkeeper for 30 years. Doris is a homemaker and was a real estate agent for 27 years. They are active members of Claypool United Methodist Church and of their community.
They have four children: Larry (and spouse LaDonna) Bloom and Shirlee (and spouse Tim) Hauth, all of Warsaw; Angela Hough, Claypool; and Anne (and spouse Paul) Sailor, White Pigeon, Mich.; 10 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
The couple will celebrate in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and later with a family gathering. [[In-content Ad]]
