AKRON – Blanche E. Myers Norman, 93, formerly of the Akron and Macy areas, died at 1:32 p.m. Oct. 27, 2012, in Miller’s Merry Manor East, Wabash.

She was born May 22, 1919, in Washington County, to Oren and Alta E. Smith Howard. On Oct. 24, 1937, in Amboy, she married Lawson E. Myers, who died Feb. 25, 1966. On June 10, 1972, in Miami County, she married W. Glen Norman, who died Dec. 11, 1996.

She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Controls Inc., North Manchester.

Surviving are a daughter, Judy (and spouse James) Friend, Rochester; two sons, Steven (and spouse Peggy) Myers, Macy, and Randy (and spouse Peggy) Myers, Roann; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a stepdaughter, Mary Jo (and spouse Jim) Frushour, Rochester; a stepson, Larry (and spouse Lorraine)  Norman, Akron; 16 step-grandchildren; 32 step-great- grandchildren; and six step-great-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a son.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with the Rev. George Hapner officiating.
Burial will be in Clymer Cemetery Waupecong.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
