He is retired from Midwest Spring and worked at Ace Hardware part time after retirement. Dorothy is a homemaker.
The couple have three children: Barry (and spouse Mary) Blalock, Kokomo; Dennis (and spouse Linda) Blalock, Warsaw, and Kathy (and spouse David) McGowen, Bremen. They have seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The couple celebrated the anniversary at their home with family Dec. 15.
