Myron Dean and Barbara Ann Blackford celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Oct. 7, 2010.

Myron Blackford and Barbara Rose, Warsaw, were married Oct. 7, 1950, in Mentone, by the Rev. Edward E. DeWitt.

They retired from Uniroyal (Royalite) Jan. 20, 1995, after each having 28 years of service. They were also the first to retire as a married couple from Uniroyal.

They have a son, Russell Sr. (and spouse Amber), Leesburg; and three daughters, Myra (and spouse Daniel) Kimball and Kelly (and spouse David) Walker, all of Warsaw, and Rhonda Cox, Atwood; 16 grandchildren and one grandchild that has passed; and 22 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild that has passed.

The couple will celebrate with an open house Oct. 23, 2010, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Community Bible Church, 2947 S. County Farm Road, Warsaw.

They request no gifts - only hugs.
