Gene and Margaret “Maggie” Black celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Oct. 29, 2011.

Gene and the former Margaret Hodges were married Nov. 3, 1951, at United Methodist Church, Akron, by the Rev. Ralph Hoffman.

Both Gene and Maggie worked at R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co. for many years. Both are now retired.

The couple have three sons: Allen (and spouse Janet), Akron; the late Amber; and Henry “Hank” (and spouse Sue), Warsaw; two daughters, Amy and Arissa (and spouse Dan) Grossman, all of Akron; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

They celebrated with a surprise family dinner at Smokey Bones Restaurant, Fort Wayne, hosted by their children.[[In-content Ad]]
