Birdie Jane Harmon, 96, of Warsaw, died at midnight Oct. 26, 2010, in Grace Village Retirement Community, Winona Lake.

She was born Oct. 23, 1914, in Floyd County, Ky., to Thomas Mitchell and Lemma Baldridge Dotson. On Oct. 27, 1942, in Paintsville, Ky., she married Leonard Harmon, who died Feb. 21, 1972.

A resident of Kosciusko County since 1942, she retired from Korth Furniture, Warsaw, and was a member of United Baptist Church, Floyd County.

Surviving are two sons, Larry (and spouse Barb) Harmon and Gary (and spouse Ruth) Harmon, all of Warsaw; a daughter, Frances Karen (and spouse Mike) Kerby, Lawrenceville, Ga.; seven grandchildren: Christi (and spouse Brent) Price, Winona Lake; Terri (and spouse Christopher) Hubner, Warsaw; Melissa Shepherd, Elkhart; Jennifer (and spouse Chris) Roberts, Eau Claire, Wis.; Joe (and spouse Jane) Rounds, Duluth, Ga.; Scott Rounds, Spartansburg, S.C.; and Matthew Rounds, Lawrenceville, Ga.; and great-grandchildren: Ryan and Lake Price; Chloe Hubner; Nick and Jamie Shepherd; Katy Blue and Jordan Roberts. She was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, with Bill Garner officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
