Haley LaNae Bird and Michael Shane Kittrell were married Aug. 2, 2008, at Warsaw First Brethren Church with E.J. Underwood officiating. The bride is the daughter of Charles and Debra Bird, Milford; the groom's parents are Mike and Penny Kittrell, Warsaw.

Matron of honor was Megan Reneker, Pierceton. Bridesmaids were Tarina Sorensen, Milford; and Kelsie Avants, Laine Thompson and Kristin Kittrell, all of Warsaw. Flower girl was Zoe Grace Taylor, Milford.

Best man was Travis Reneker, Pierceton. Groomsmen were Andrew Kittrell, Travis Shepherd and Mike Barger, all of Warsaw; and Zach Stabler, Fort Wayne. Ushers were Charlie Bird III, Milford, and Austin Bailey, Pierceton. Ring bearer was Trenton Neher, Warsaw.

A reception was held at 2517, Warsaw.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Wawasee High School and received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and genetics from Ball State University in 2008.

The groom is a 2001 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice with a minor in psychology in May.

After a wedding trip to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, the couple reside in Warsaw.[[In-content Ad]]

Kathleen N. Anderson-Takacs, 84, of Pierceton, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne. Kathy was born on Aug. 14, 1940, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Darwin and Jane Gibson. On April 17, 2004, she married Bill Takacs in Gatlinburg, Tenn., who survives.
