Billy E. Jackson, 66, of Warsaw, passed away at 8:44 p.m. July 11, 2011, in Lutheran Hospital Fort Wayne.

He was born Aug. 23, 1944, in Floyd County, Ky., to Eddie and Sola Blanton Jackson. On Aug. 31, 1962, in Atwood, he married Sue Ellen Hively, who died April 15, 2008.

Shortly after his birth, the family moved to Kosciusko County where he was a lifetime resident.

He worked in the warehouse and shipping at Korth Furniture, O.E.C. and NAPA, retiring in 1996. He  served as a volunteer fireman from the 1950s to the 1970s. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren, friends, camping and hanging out at Center Lake Park.

Surviving are three sons, Rick (and spouse Sheryl) Jackson, North Manchester, and Randy Jackson and Rodney (and spouse Christina) Jackson, all of Warsaw; six grandchildren: Lindsey, Chase, Alysha, Alex, Hunter and Ella; and a stepbrother, Lonnie Slone, Clunette. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a step sister.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor William Whitaker officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
