AKRON - Billie W. Eaton, 80, of 1107 Jackson Blvd., Rochester, died at 11:35 a.m. Feb. 8, 2008, in Life Care Center, Rochester.

He was born April 7, 1927, in Burket, to Harry T. and Zora Summe Eaton. On Nov. 20, 1950, he married Gloria A. "Dolly" Pontius, who survives.

He was a former maintenance man at SONOCO Products Co., Akron, and was a former town marshall. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Also surviving are a daughter, Sherry Eaton, Rochester; a son, Larry Eaton, Rochester; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty (and spouse Lee) Gearhart, Akron. He was preceded in death by three brothers.

No services are planned.

Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron, is in charge of arrangements.
