COLUMBIA CITY - Bill Junior Kessie, 76, of Fort Wayne, died at 10:10 p.m. July 21, 2007, in Parkview Hospital.

He was born July 14, 1931, in Whitley County, to William and Wilda M. Grable Kessie. On Sept. 9, 1951, he married Barbara A. Kistler, who died Jan. 15, 1990. On Dec. 21, 1991, he married Audrey G. Arnold Miller, who survives.

He completed his education in Larwill and worked at LML/Riviera Cruiser from August 1955 until retiring in 2000. Living in South Whitley until 1984, he moved to Alma, Mich., then to Fort Wayne in September 1989.

Also surviving are three daughters: Debbie Michel, Casa Grande, Ariz.; Mrs. David (Beth) Metzger, North Manchester; and Mrs. Tim (Jill) Hartman, Monroe, Mich.; a son, Tom Kessie, South Whitley; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Hugh (Cindi) Fletcher, Columbia City; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three brothers, Jack, Carl "Fritz" and Dick Kessie, all of Columbia City. He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

A graveside service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Lakeview Cemetery, Larwill, with the Rev. J. Phillip Blake officiating.

No calling is planned.
