He was born Jan. 5, 1933, in Peru, to James Earl and Katherine Hedges Boxell. On Feb. 16, 1957, he married Julia Roberts, who survives.
Living in Kosciusko County since 1964, he was manager at Perkins Furniture Transport, Warsaw, retiring in 1994. He was a 1951 Peru High School graduate and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Also surviving are a son, Jim (and spouse LeAnn) Boxell, Indianapolis; two daughters, Michelle and Nadine Boxell, both of Warsaw; two grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a sister, Betty Carey, Tallahassee, Fla.
A memorial service will be at a later date.
No calling is planned.
