She was born June 13, 1929, in Warsaw, to Delbert and Glea Rider East. She was married April 26, 1947, in Warsaw, to Jack A. Lewallen, who preceded her in death Jan. 28, 1991. They lived their married life in North Webster.
She grew up in the Warsaw and Mentone area and graduated in 1947 from Mentone High School.
She retired in 2003 as an administrative assistant from Zimmer Corporation, Warsaw, after 24 years and was the former co-owner operator of Jack’s Village Video, Syracuse, for 12 years. She formerly worked at Webster Products, North Webster, and Liberty Homes, Syracuse.
She was a member of the Church of God, North Webster, where she was part of the Love in Action Ladies and the Just Older Youth senior group. She was formerly a member of the Efficient Homemakers Economics Club, North Webster, and was an avid walker at the North Webster Community Center.
Survivors include a daughter, Pamela J. (and spouse Dan) Conder, Cicero; two sons, Michael E. (and spouse Lana) Lewallen, Spring Hill, Fla., and Randy K. (and spouse Sharon Barefoot) Lewallen, North Webster; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Geraldine East, Warsaw; and a brother, Harold (and spouse Sharon) East, Warsaw. She also was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Jack Lewallen Jr.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster, with Pastor Jeff Boyer of Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
