She was born July 4, 1934, in Defiance, Ohio, to Tulloss and Beulah Konst Cromly. On Jan. 31, 1954, in Oakwood, Ohio, she married George Hornish, who survives.
Moving to Nappanee from New Castle in 1964, she was a 1952 Defiance High School graduate and worked at Northwood Family Dentistry and Nappanee Public Library. She was affiliated with Living Gospel Church and Gideon Auxiliary and was a member of Roving Volunteers in Christ's Service, doing volunteer work in the south, for seven years after retirement.
Also surviving are three daughters: Mrs. David (Debra) Anewalt, Belleville, Ill.; Mrs. Rick (Tammy) Oser, Indianapolis; and Mrs. Dennis (Caryn) Hershberger, Nappanee; a son, Scott Hornish, Nappanee; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Sam (Joanne) Lehman, Defiance, Ohio, and Mrs. Kevin (Joyce) Kane, Delta, Ohio; and two brothers, Charles Cromly, Toledo, Ohio, and Don Cromly, Defiance. She was preceded in death by a sister.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Living Gospel Church with the Rev. Mike Raasch officiating. Burial will be in South Union Cemetery.
Calling is from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
