BOURBON – Betty Ann Buchan, 65, Warsaw, and formerly of Bourbon, passed away May 15, 2014, in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
She was born Nov. 15, 1948, in Plymouth, to Carl E. and Charlotte Alice Kurtz Biggs.
She was a homemaker and was retired from Cardinal Services of Warsaw as a nursing assistant. She graduated in 1967 from Triton High School. She had been a resident of Warsaw for the past 33 years, moving from Bourbon. In her spare time she enjoyed being a volunteer for Kosciusko County Special Olympics for over 30 years. She also was a member of the Warsaw American Legion Auxiliary where she helped in planning funeral dinners and special event parties.
Surviving are two children: JoAnn Buchan, Warsaw, and Ryan Buchan, Valparaiso; and three grandchildren: Jaiden Wade and Kaileb and Zariya Buchan. She was preceded in death by her father, who died Nov. 30, 1991; and her mother, who died June 22, 2007.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Parks Cemetery, Bourbon, where she will be interned with her parents.
No visitation is planned.
Deaton Clemens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
