Bernard "Ben" Louis Thibodeau, 84, of 900 Provident Drive, Warsaw, died at 8:05 a.m. June 30, 2010, in Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw.

He was born Feb. 6, 1926, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, to Eugene and Melina Caron Thibodeau. On June 18, 1951, he married Marie Louise Faulds, who died June 4, 2008. He worked at Chrysler, Detroit, Mich., for 30 years as an engineering manager. Retiring early, he spent his winters in Naples, Fla., and his summers in Indian River, Mich. He lived for a short time at Sycamore Village, Fort Wayne, and was a resident of Kosciusko County for the past three years, having resided at Grace Village Retirement Community, Winona Lake, and most recently at Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was of the Catholic faith.

Surviving are a son, Stephen E. Thibodeau, Littleton, Colo.; a daughter, Michele T. "Shelly" (and spouse Christopher) Heckert, Warsaw; three grandchildren; and a sister, Annette Offer, Gaylord, Mich.

A memorial service will be at a later date to scatter Ben's and Marie's ashes near their favorite home on Mullet Lake in Michigan.

No calling is planned.
