Berl Greene, 79, died at 1:49 a.m. Dec. 21, 2014, at his Ridgeville Corners, Ohio, residence. He was born Jan. 22, 1935, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to James and Girley Music Greene. On Oct. 17, 1987, in Fort Wayne, he married Jane Kryder, who survives in Ridgeville Corners. He is formerly from the Warsaw, and Pierceton area. He was a maintenance supervisor at B.F. Goodrich for 23 years; retiring in 1991. He attended Pettisville Missionary Church, Pettisville, Ohio. Also surviving are two sons, Dean (and spouse Geretta) Greene, Leesburg, and James (and spouse Leslie) Greene, Bristol, Ill.; three stepsons: Michael (and spouse Kathy) Wachtmann, Rochester; Daniel (and spouse Deb) Wachtmann, Napoleon, Ohio; and Jeff (and spouse Jonel) Wachtmann, Tumwater, Wash.; two step-daughters, Lori Wachtmann, Fort Wayne, and Susan (and spouse Jeff) Benson, Napoleon, Ohio; three grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 20 step-great-grandchildren; six brothers: James E. (and spouse Betty) Greene, Newport, Ind.; Gerald Greene, Warsaw; Tom (and spouse Virginia) Greene, Julian (and spouse Penny) Greene, Floyd (and spouse Betty) Greene and Harold (and spouse Janet) Greene, all of Prestonsburg, KY; four sisters: Wanda Hamilton, Somerset, Ky.; Pat (and spouse Dick) Sampson, Auburn, Ala.; Regina (and spouse Don) Fry, Warsaw, and Phyllis Hackworth, Chicopee, Mass. He was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Meadows. A private family graveside service will be Saturday with Pastor Kent Norr, Pettisville Missionary Church, officiating.
