SYRACUSE – Beatrice Marlene “Bea” Eppert, 77, of Syracuse, died at 1:25 p.m. Jan. 21, 2013, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Syracuse.
She was born Sept. 20, 1935, in Goshen, to Charles Howard and Emma Laverne Bailey Johnson. On July 4, 1966, in Rome City, she married Earl Eppert, who died in 1992.
She was a lifetime area resident and graduated from Warsaw High School. She retired as a nurse’s aide from Avalon Village,   Ligonier, after several years of service. She was a member of Benton Free Baptist Church and Eagles Aerie 3760, Syracuse.
Surviving are two daughters, Connie Sue (and spouse Scott) Amsden, Milford, and Melinda Lou (and spouse Roger) Cannon, Syracuse; two sons, Leonard Allen (and spouse Cindy), Vandalia, Mich., and Steven “Mike” (and spouse Peggy) Eppert, Syracuse; 12 grandchildren; 22 Great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty (and spouse Dale) Clouse, Albion; and four brothers: Delbert (and spouse Shirley) Johnson, Kenny Johnson, Roger (and spouse Connie) Johnson, all of Albion, and Harold (and spouse Shirley) Johnson, Avilla. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, two grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, with the Rev. Lenny Krebs officiating. Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
