Beall Steps Down As Airport Manager

July 28, 2016 at 4:25 p.m.

David Beall has stepped down as airport manager and expressed thanks to the Warsaw Board of Aviation Commissioners during their meeting Tuesday.
“I want to express my gratitude for the 13 years I’ve had to work with you, it’s been an honor,” said Beall. “You’ve made my job a lot easier than it could have been. I just want to thank you for that and the support you’ve given over the years. I also wish the best of luck to Linda (Seiss).”
Seiss was unanimously voted in as acting airport manager. Though he stepped down for health reasons, Beall is still employed at the airport.
Board president Jay Rigdon expressed his thanks to Beall.
“If we hadn’t had your help over the years, we wouldn’t be where we are today as an airport,” said Rigdon.
In other business, the board accepted a bid from Alen Hoover to purchase hangar 2 for $16,600. The hangar was appraised at $27,000 and $30,000 by two appraisers, but the airport currently pays around $11,000 a year just on insurance for the building. Hoover’s plans for the building would bring improvement to the airport, the board agreed.
The board also approved four land lease renewals for Jim Holbrook, Ernie Wiggins and Tim Grissom.
The commissioners meet again at the airport for their regular meeting at 5:15 on March 12.[[In-content Ad]]
