Be Like Joe

The city of Warsaw needs a sheriff like Joe Arpaio of Arizona. He's the one who made the tent city and painted everything pink and has the inmates running around in pink prison garb. Bet that's something to see.

Some of the things he's done is take over the care of stray animals like cats and dogs, but the animal shelters are run by the inmates so the inmates walk the dogs twice a day and even give classes to people who want to adopt a pet. Some of the prisoners have actually shown the dogs in dog shows. What was costing the city over 18 million a year now is being done for less than 3 million. You can adopt a dog that's neutered, had all shots and micro chipped for $78.

Other things he's done is started chain gangs so inmates could do free work on county and city projects. He's also got them for women so he doesn't get sued for discrimination. He also took out cable TV from the jails, but since there is a a federal court order that requires cable TV for jails, he had to put it back in, but the only thing they get is the Disney channel and the weather channel.

You don't get coffee in his jail either, nor will you work out with weights all day. He removed them, too. When the inmates complained his response was, this isn't the Ritz/Carlton. If you don't like it here, don't come back. He told his inmates that were complaining about the heat living in the tent city and, I quote, "Its 120 degrees in Iraq and our soldiers are living in tents also, and they have to wear full battle gear. But they didn't commit any crimes, so shut your mouths."

Cities, towns and states could learn a lot from Joe by modeling every jail and prison from what he set up and has done in Arizona. Taxpayers should not have to work and pay for these clowns that continue to break the law so they can live in a upscale apartment of sorts and not have to work. I say that a boy, Joe, and keep up the good work. Have a nice day!
