Kirk and Annette Barger, Nesbru, Norway, and formerly of Warsaw, announce the engagement of their daughter, JoyLynn Danielle Barger, Warsaw, to Matthew Allen Nesbitt, Goshen. He is the son of Mike and Cathy Nesbitt, Goshen.

The bride-to-be is an assistant teacher at Jefferson Elementary School, Winona Lake. She graduated from home school in 2003, and earned a bachelor's degree in Biblical studies and counseling from Baptist Bible College May 12, 2006.

The groom-elect is a mechanic at Gardners, Goshen, and is a reserve police office for the Goshen Police Dept. He graduated from Goshen High School in 2002.

The couple plan a Feb. 27 wedding.
