A new store in Warsaw geared toward those who love to hunt, camp and fish opens Friday.

The Bargain Hunter Outdoorsman, 2271 N. Detroit St., Warsaw, opens its doors at 7 a.m. Friday and will be open until 7 p.m. offering Black Friday deals.

The Warsaw location is the ninth store of its kind to open around the U.S. and the first in Indiana.

It's a discount hunting, fishing and camping store that buys from larger outfitters like Bass Pro Shops, Dick's, Gander Mountain, Big 5, Academy and Coleman.

It also serves as a consignment shop for people in an assortment of products ranging from bows to boats.

The Warsaw location currently has more than 2,200 square feet of retail space but that will expand in the spring to nearly 6,000 square feet.

Expansions in the spring will include a live bait shop, restaurant and indoor archery range.

It also will be a location for deer check-in, and hunters and fishers will be able to get their license through The Bargain Hunter Outdoorsman.

Mike Back, along with his wife Kim, are part owners of the corporation.

Lamar Mount will work on the staff in sales.

Back said the building was leased in September and has gone through renovations since then.

The store also will be a permanent location for a collection bucket for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

It is located at the former Superior Auto building and across the street from Builder's Mart.

For more information, call the store at 574-268-9604

Normal business hours will be 9 to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.[[In-content Ad]]
