SYRACUSE - Barbara L. "Bobbi" Butcher, 76, of Leesburg, died at 4:05 p.m. March 22, 2008, in Miller's Merry Manor, Syracuse.

She was born June 27, 1931, in Marion, to Worth E. and Mildred C. Scott Moon. On Feb. 18, 1956, in Marion, she married Clinton I. Butcher, who survives.

She graduated from Marion High School in 1949; attended Houghton (N.Y.) College for a year; and graduated from Maumee Valley Hospital School of Nursing, Toledo, Ohio, in 1953. She moved to the Leesburg/North Webster area from Arlington Heights, Ill., in June 1973. She was a homemaker and a former registered nurse for Riley Hospital for Children, Indianapolis; Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie; and Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She retired as executive assistant for Central Textile Co. Inc., Leesburg, after more than 20 years. She was a member of Vineyard Community Church, Syracuse, and Wawasee Camp of the Gideon's International Auxiliary. She taught Bible study fellowship in Goshen for many years and formerly attended North Webster Church of God.

Also surviving are a daughter, Karen Allen, Cicero; two sons, Kevin (and spouse Jean) Butcher, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Kent (and spouse Liana) Butcher, Syracuse; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Beverly Baker, Marion. She was preceded in death by a brother.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, with the Rev. John Heavilin officiating. Burial will be in North Webster Cemetery, Mock Addition.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
