Barbara J. Bailey, 80, of 180 N. CR 175E, Warsaw, passed away at 1:20 p.m. March 25, 2012, in her residence.

She was born May 31, 1931, in Warsaw, to Ancil Von and Ruth VanCuren Valentine. On June 25, 1949, she married Donald Elliott Bailey, who survives.

A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, she was a 1949 graduate of Pierceton High School. She was a homemaker and loved to work with her hands making award-winning quilts. She retired in 1994 after working as a clerk for Kmart, Warsaw, for 10 years.

She also will be lovingly remembered by a daughter, Carolyn (and spouse Richard) Rule, Warsaw; three sons: Rex (and spouse Helen) Bailey, Mansfield, Ohio; Roger Bailey, Warsaw; and Mark (and spouse Linda) Bailey, Pierceton; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, James Valentine, Las Vegas, Nev. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Richard and Leroy Valentine, Pierceton.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with Pastor William Whitaker officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
