Barbara J. Hill, 80, Warsaw, passed away at 9:10 a.m. Oct. 20, 2013, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born July 14, 1933, in Sledge, Miss., to C.W. and Pearl Hamilton Moore. On Dec. 20, 1952, in Gary, she married William W. Hill, who preceded her in death.
She graduated in 1951 from Treadwell High School, Memphis, Tenn. She worked for Warsaw companies Clausing Corp., from 1951 to 1979, and in the financial operations department of Dalton Corp. from 1979 to retirement in 1995. She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Warsaw. She was a member of the YMCA (WIA) Water Aerobics, volunteering for several organizations.
Surviving are a brother, James E. (and spouse Carole) Moore, Goshen; two sisters Margaret Dubois, Bowling Green, Va., and Jane Carmon, Memphis; one stepbrother and two stepsisters, Memphis; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Leesburg Cemetery, with Pastor Dave Hummel officiating.
Calling is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw.
