Barbara J. “Bobbie” Leeth, 76, Warsaw, passed away at 3:55 a.m. Aug. 16, 2015, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born June 23, 1939, in Terre Haute, to Richard L. and Gladys Whitaker Leeth. She married Jim Essman who preceded her in death Nov. 19, 2004.
She was employed by American Airlines, retiring Oct. 31, 2001. She attended Walnut Creek United Methodist Church, Warsaw.
Survivors are: two sisters, Patricia (and spouse John) Bretza, Orange County, Calif., and Phyllis Wilkey, Warsaw; a brother, Richard M. (and spouse Suzette) Leeth, Philippines; nieces and nephews: John (and spouse Michelle) Bretza, Orange County, Calif.; Cindy (and spouse Tony) Elliott, Warsaw; Kristy (and spouse Diego) Escutia, Orange County, Calif.; great-nieces and -nephews: Brook, Chase Escutia, Zander and Zack Bretza, all of Orange County, and Ryan and Jack Lowe, both of Warsaw. She was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Schultz, and a niece, Kim Cretcher.
Services will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Steve Ailes officiating. Interment will be made at sea.
Calling is from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel.
