'Did you see how they stand on their toes?' 'Did you know that football players do ballet to work on their agility?' 'Wow! Dancer's shoes don't last very long!' 'It's so beautiful!' These were just a few of the comments that Pierceton Elementary students were overhead to say following a recent performance by the Fort Wayne Ballet. The ballet troupe visited the school and performed for the students. They shared about their training, the history of ballet, how their shoes are made, and even brought some costumes for the students to touch and explore. The ballet donated their time and travel expenses to give the Pierceton students this experience.
