July 28, 2016 at 4:25 p.m.
By Staff Report-
A presentation open to the public of those findings will be made at 7 p.m. at Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center.
A study by BSU and the city examined the East Market Street area and the Gatke building property.
Additionally, two more public workshops are being planned to gather information for Warsaw’s future growth.
“Imagine Warsaw” was the theme for the BSU charette that not only examined specific areas of the city, but also involved workshops where more than 200 community members took part and provided visions for the future.
Using the BSU workshop as a springboard, the city is also preparing a new comprehensive plan and is asking for residents’ input by completing an online survey, attending a public workshop or both.
The surveys are available for the comprehensive plan at www.surveymonkey.com/s/warsaw-survey
To participate in a public workshop, attend one or both of the upcoming opportunities at City Hall, 102 S. Buffalo St. The first is 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. July 25; and the second is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 26.
The purpose of the online survey and public workshops is to help the city identify strengths, weaknesses, needs and community values relating to the future of the community.
Topics include future growth and redevelopment, transportation, economic development, natural environment, parks and recreation, public services, housing, community image and other aspects that relate to quality of life in the community.[[In-content Ad]]
