He is a retired real estate broker, who was the broker/owner of Badskey Realty, North Webster. He also retired as the vice president and director of LML Corp., Cardinal Farm Equipment Division/Riviera Cruiser Pontoon Boat Division, Columbia City, after 16 years of service. He also served six years with the U.S. Air Force 163rd Tactical Fighter Squadron Air National Guard Unit, Fort Wayne. She retired from Bart's Water Sports in North Webster after 15 years. She also worked for Feller Insurance and Links Accounting.
The couple have three children: the Rev. Steven Badskey, Montgomery, Ala.; Kent (and spouse Michelle) Badskey, Pierceton; and Scott (and spouse Christine) Badskey, Tower Lakes, Ill. The couple have four granddaughters.
The couple will celebrate the anniversary with an open house hosted by their children Aug. 31 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the North Manchester Public Library, 405 N. Market St., North Manchester. The couple request no gifts, only the presence of family and friends.
