SYRACUSE - Audrey Corinne Staples, 92, of North Webster, died Oct. 13, 2007, in Warsaw Meadows Health Care.

She was born Feb. 18, 1915, in Huron, S.D., to Merrill C. and Mary A. Strickler Stanfield. On Nov. 27, 1947, she married George N. Staples, who survives.

Moving to North Webster from Lebanon, Ind., in 1947, she retired from GTI Corp., Leesburg, in 1979. She attended North Webster Church of God and was a member of North Webster United Methodist Church. She was a member of Charm & Chatter Home Economics Club, North Webster American Legion Auxiliary, Knitting Together Club of Kosciusko County, Eastern Star, Past Chief's Club and Pythian Sisters.

Also surviving are a son, Joe Staples, Logansport; two grandchildren; and a brother, L.H. Stanfield, Attica. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse. Burial will be in North Webster Cemetery, Mock Addition.

Calling is one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
