SOUTH WHITLEY - Arthur S. Busenbark, 77, of South Whitley, died at 2:30 a.m. April 19, 2007, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

He was born Nov. 1, 1929, in Crawfordsville, to Raymond and Carrie Waldon Busenbark. On May 26, 1951, he married Beverly R. Cartwright, who died Nov. 19, 1990.

He graduated from Crawfordsville High School and was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran, serving during the Korean War and receiving an honorable discharge in 1951.

Living in Crawfordsville and Veedersburg for 10 years, he moved to South Whitley in 1962. He worked at R.R. Donnelley, Crawfordsville; Johnson Brothers Signs, South Whitley; and retired from Monarch Food, Fort Wayne, in 1993, after 25 years. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, Crawfordsville; a 50-year member of American Legion Post 288, Veedersburg; and AM Vets 291, South Whitley.

Surviving are two sons, Larry Busenbark, Sidney, and Steve Busenbark, Coatesville; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Kim) Reese, South Whitley, and Kelli Busenbark, Warsaw; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold and Chris Busenbark, both of Crawfordsville; and a sister, Pat Priebe, Crawfordsville.

There was a private family burial.

Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Miller Chapel, South Whitley, was in charge of arrangements.
