Join the fight against the nation’s leading cause of disability by taking part in the Warsaw Arthritis Walk, brought by Zimmer and other surrounding companies.
The Arthritis Walk is an annual 5K walk (with a one-mile turn around option) held by the Arthritis Foundation to raise funds to fight arthritis and spread the message that regular movement can limit the impact of arthritis. Other special details surrounding this event include:
– Location changed to the Lake City Greenway Beyer Farm Trail near the Wellness Center at KCH
– Registration begins at 1 p.m.
– Walk begins at 2 p.m.
– Free kids activities including: a bounce castle, face painting, balloons and slushies.
– Dogs are welcome and if you don’t have one, the Animal Shelter will bring dogs from their facility for you to walk.
To learn more and register for the Warsaw Arthritis Walk, visit www.ArthritisWalkWarsaw.com or contact Kendall Rich at [email protected] or 1-317-879-0321 Ext. 207. To learn more about how movement can help prevent and treat arthritis, visit www.letsmovetogether.org
Striking one in every five adults and 300,000 children, arthritis is the nation’s leading cause of disability. The Arthritis Foundation (www.arthritis.org) is committed to raising awareness and reducing the impact of this serious disease, which can severely damage joints and rob people of living life to its fullest.
The Foundation funds life-changing research that has restored mobility in patients for more than six decades; fights for health care policies that improve the lives of the millions who live with arthritis; and partners with families to provide empowering programs and information.[[In-content Ad]]
