Charles and Gladys Armey, Mishawaka, will mark their 70th wedding anniversary Feb. 12. Charles Armey and Gladys Shafer were married Feb. 12, 1938, at the United Brethren Church, Columbia City.

He retired in 1980 after working for 35 years at Sibley Machine and Foundry Corp., South Bend. Both grew up in the Warsaw area and graduated from Warsaw High School.

The couple have two children, Shirley Seese and Sue Fields, both of Mishawaka. They have six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The couple will celebrate the anniversary with a family dinner Saturday.[[In-content Ad]]
