Arden E. “Punk” Grow, 66, Claypool, passed away at 12:40 p.m. April 22, 2014, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 16, 1947, in Warsaw to Elbert and Dorothy McGinnis Grow. On Jan. 1, 2003, in Claypool, he married Laura L. O’Connell, who survives in Claypool.
He was a 1966 graduate of Claypool High School. He was inducted into the U.S. Army Jan. 9, 1968. SP4 Arden Grow was honorably discharged Dec. 13, 1969.
He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. He worked at Spartech Industries for 40 years, retiring in 2006 as a lab assistant. He was a member of American Legion Post #49, and he loved playing cards, ping pong, pool and shuffle board, gardening and spending time with his family.
Also surviving are two daughters, Stacy (and spouse Joe) Halterman, Rochester, and Tracy (and spouse Brian) Julian, Claypool; a son, Lamoine (and spouse Amber) Grow, Winona Lake; two stepsons, Michael O’Connell and Ross Patrick, both of Warsaw; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; a brother, Steve Grow, Mentone; and two sisters, Brenda (and spouse Russell) Brown, Claypool, and Jenny (and spouse Mike) Dawson, Atwood. He was preceded in death by his father,who died June 30, 1995, and his mother, who died March 9, 2014.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Alfredo Lozano officiating. Military honors will be conducted by Warsaw’s American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post #1126. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
