He was born Jan. 9, 1918, in North Manchester, to Glen B. and Marie Ulrey Warner. On Sept. 15, 1940, he married Dorcas Walther, who died in 1977. On July 21, 1979, he married P. Geraldine Tucker Parker, who survives in Winona Lake.
He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, where he was a graduate of Sidney High School. He attended Warsaw Wesleyan Church and was a member of the Silver Lake Lions Club. He was a farmer of grain and livestock, on the board of directors for Kosciusko REMC from March 1963 to December 1976 and board president from March 1965 to December 1976, and in January 1977 became the manager/CEO of REMC in Warsaw, retiring in December 1982. He was also a past president of the Warsaw School Board.
He will also be lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Ann Rudig, Lombard, Ill., and Sue (and spouse Randy) Wagner, Peekskill, N.Y.; one stepdaughter, Paulette (and spouse Alan) Holsinger, The Villages, Fla.; two stepsons, Terry K. and Lynn Parker, both of Silver Lake; 20 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw. Burial and graveside service is in Ulrey Memorial Cemetery, Silver Lake.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
