Anytime Fitness Open 24/7 For Members

July 28, 2016 at 4:25 p.m.

Anytime Fitness, 2520 Walton Blvd., Warsaw, is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Its members – who must be 18 years or older – have access to free weights, cardio equipment and weight machines.
General Manager Abby Ramer said membership is $39.99 a month, with a start-up fee of $45 except when Anytime Fitness is running a special. It’s a 12-month contract.
“It’s the largest franchise in the U.S. With your membership, you have access to any Anytime Fitness anywhere in the U.S., which makes it convenient if you travel,” Ramer said.
The Warsaw location began operations about seven years ago, and as of Feb. 24 has 814 members.
A member also can pay for sessions with personal trainer Domingo Brito. He said the gym usually has specials for training sessions.
“My goal is to set them up and teach them so they can do it on their own,” he said.
He will work training sessions around the client’s needs, but currently his clients are all in the afternoon.
With a paid membership, the gym offers one free complimentary session with a personal trainer to learn the equipment and get comfortable in the gym.
Brito has been the trainer at Anytime Fitness since January. He is certified through ISSA. He said his focus is form over quantity because a person can get better results with the proper form.
Everyone Brito works with gets an individualized workout plan depending on their goals and what they’re trying to work for, he said. That could range from losing weight to gaining muscle, and there are different ways to train for it, he said.
People seek out Brito usually because they’ve hit a plateau in their exercise and there’s no more change and don’t know how to get past it, he said.
“You have plenty of equipment here as long as you know what you’re doing,” Brito said.
Ramer said the gym has plans to expand its equipment eventually.
It added a PiYo class that meets three times a week. The class starts at noon Monday and Wednesday, and at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
“It’s a faster pace cross between Pilates and Yoga. We plan to add a Zumba class as well as Zumba toning,” Ramer said.
Office hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

Understanding Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) And Using Them
Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) are for people over the age of 70.5 years old. Unlike other distributions, which are taxed at ordinary income tax rates, Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) allow for a tax-free distribution from an IRA, provided that the distribution goes directly to a qualified charity.
