Annual Quiz Bowl Fund-Raiser Set March 22
July 28, 2016 at 4:25 p.m.
The Warsaw Education Foundation, a not-for-profit organization committed to recognizing academic excellence in education, will hold its Annual Community Quiz Bowl fund-raiser March 22. The Quiz Bowl features teams from area businesses and organizations who pay to compete, answering 60 questions this year on academics, 2004 in review, games people play and know your local businesses.
The Quiz Bowl is scheduled from 7-9 p.m. March 22 in the Career Center gym at Warsaw Community High School. The 26-member volunteer board for the Warsaw Education Foundation is composed of community leaders who are passionate about education and who realize that tax dollars and basic curriculum are not enough to fund the cutting-edge educational experiences that keep all students academically productive and successful.
Funds raised will go directly to fertilize these ideas. Last year more than $6,000 was raised for students in Warsaw schools.
Approximately 30 teams will compete this year. Space is still available for businesses or organizations who are interested in forming a team.
The tax-deductible cost to enter is $200. Admission for spectators is free.
Friends and families of participants are encouraged to attend and cheer on their teams.
