MILFORD – Annabelle R. Anglin, 91, of Milford, passed away peacefully Sept. 2, 2011, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

She was born April 22, 1920, in Beaver Dam, to J.W. and Louise Summe Swick. She married Leo W. Anglin, who died Dec. 15, 1990.

She graduated from Beaver Dam High School and Goshen College.  As a farmer’s wife, she worked for many years on the family farm, juggling those demands with a career as a second grade school teacher at Milford Elementary School for 30 years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, reading and traveling. She was a member of New Salem Church of the Brethren,  Leesburg Homemakers Club, Leesburg Travelers Club  and Retired Teachers of Kosciusko County. She was the “glue” of her family, hosting nearly all of the holiday and reunion gatherings. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be missed by all those who knew her.

Surviving are two daughters, Allyson (and spouse Glenn) Santner, Brownsburg, and Renee Hursey, Syracuse; a son, John Wesley “Jay” Anglin, Leesburg; nine grandchildren: Curt (and spouse Julie) Hursey, Samantha Hursey, Aaron (and spouse Isabel) Santner, Joel Santner, Wesley (and spouse Becky) Anglin, Chris Anglin, Dexter Anglin, Katie Anglin and Ashley Anglin; and four great-grandchildren: Ava and Madelyn Santner, Bailey Hursey and Elijah Anglin. She also was preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers and sisters and two children, Leo Wayne Anglin Jr. and Shay Anglin.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mishler Funeral Home, Milford, with Pastor Brad Cox officiating. Burial will be in Leesburg Cemetery.

Calling is one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
