Anna Marie Vanderpool, 95, died at 2:20 p.m. Feb. 8, 2009, in Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw.

She was born April 2, 1913, in Naples, Greenup County, Ky., to Amos and Ada Kirk Reffitt. On Jan. 15, 1934, in Ashland, Ky., she married Fred Vanderpool, who died Oct. 19, 1985.

She moved to Silver Lake in 1934, and to Warsaw in 1981. She was a homemaker, raising five children in her early years, and worked at Miller's Merry Manor for six years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of Eel River Church of the Brethren, Silver Lake, and attended Otterbein United Methodist Church, Atwood. She enjoyed her family, friends and neighbors.

Surviving are three sons: Ronald (and spouse Dee) Vanderpool, Warsaw; Richard "Dick" (and spouse Phyllis) Vanderpool, Columbus, Ohio; and James (and spouse Lenni) Vanderpool, The Villages, Fla.; a daughter, Bonnie (and spouse Keith) Evans, Warsaw; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Billie Hill, who died Feb. 4, 1994; a grandson, Steve Hill, who died Nov. 4, 1972; three brothers, Arnold, Arville and Johnny Reffitt; and two sisters, Mae Shepherd and Gladys Holbrook.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Jerry Thomas of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Atwood, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
