Mark and Julie Ankenbruck, Fort Wayne, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kyra Leigh Ankenbruck, Ventura, Calif., to Gabriel Seth Rude, Ventura. He is the son of Sandra Rude, Warsaw, and the late John Rude.

The bride-to-be in an operations supervisor at Rincon-Vitova Insectaries, Ventura. She graduated from Snider High School, Fort Wayne, earned a degree in culinary arts from Johnson and Wales, South Carolina, in 2002; and a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from IPFW, Fort Wayne, in 2006.

The groom-elect is a shipping supervisor at Rincon-Vitova Insectaries, Ventuar. He attended Lakeland Christian Academy and obtained his GED in 2002.
