Animal Shelter

Where did you get your last pet? Did you get it from a shelter or a breeding center? I want to encourage people to get a pet from an animal shelter.
First, there are lots of pets that don’t have a home. For example, a family may need to move suddenly and can’t take their pet with them. Or the owner needs to go to a nursing home and can’t take their pet with them. Or an owner neglects his animals. Often these pets are then placed in a shelter, giving you the opportunity to get a new pet.
Second, it’s less expensive to purchase a pet from a shelter. Often the shelter will even help pay for shots and lots of more things. The animals are spayed and neutered, and they sometimes get microchipped too at a shelter.
Third, you have the satisfaction of saving an animal’s life. Getting your pet from a shelter saves it from being put down. Your new pet could bring joy to a family, and it teaches your family responsibility.
Finally, I encourage the community of Warsaw to consider adopting a pet from a shelter. There are lots of animals at the shelter that don’t have a home. Won’t you consider getting your next pet from the shelter?
