As part of the Milford Public Library's ongoing 100th birthday celebration, storyteller and local historian Donna Angle presented a program to Milford's elementary students on Sept. 11. One of the goals of having the library's birthday celebration throughout the year was bringing the local history to life for people of all ages. More than 400 students were able to enjoy hearing about Milford and the library's beginnings. A slide show with photos dating back to 1844 were shared with the group. As a memento of the special year, each student received a small chalk board and chalk, just like those used by students many years ago. This program was made possible with a DEKKO Foundation grant.[[In-content Ad]]
