She was born July 8, 1968, in Jay County, to John and Linda Woolslager Deaton. On July 4, 2007, she married Randy Gibson, who survives.
She was a former resident of Portland and graduated from Jay County High School in 1986. She was a motor carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in the Warsaw area for 10 years.
Also surviving are a son, Daniel Hensley, Terre Haute; a daughter, Alisha Hensley, Mentone; two stepdaughters, Melinda (and spouse Shawn) Dennis, Pierceton, and Sarah (and spouse Jarod) Hull, Columbia City; a brother, Scott (and spouse Kim) Deaton, Bryant; her mother, Linda Deaton, rural Portland; her grandmother, Betty Woolslager, rural Portland; and seven step-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Fellowship Baptist Church, Portland, with Pastor Hugh Kelly officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Calling is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
The Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home, Portland, is in charge of the arrangements.
