The bride-to-be is a receptionist at Carpet Den Interiors, Franklin, Tenn. She is a 2005 graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School, Akron. She currently is a junior at O'More College of Design, studying interior design

The groom-elect is in the United States Army in Smyrna, Tenn. He is a 2001 graduate of Shelbyville Central High School of Shelbyville, Tenn.

The couple plan an Oct. 24, 2009 wedding.
